Unless you are listening very quietly, it does not sound good. Turn it off and you may be amazed. Secondly, for many, especially with music, the Audyssey curve sounds a little closed in or unexciting. On denons you can switch to Audyssey flat which removes the high end roll off. There's a way to do the same thing with Onkyos, but I can't.
Audyssey caIibration no longer allows users to modify treble and largemouth bass?
l lately upgraded from a 2011 Onkyo TX-NR709 receiver to a 2018 Denon X4400H. The old receiver used Audyssey MuItEQ XT calibration ánd allowed transforming treble and bass while calibration was active, irrespective of Audyssey features like Active EQ and Active Quantity. The new receiver utilizes Audyssey MuItEQ XT32 and hinders the treble, largemouth bass and EQ handles when calibration is definitely enabled. Bottom level line can be that it simply doesn't appear good plenty of, because my ears require more treble. I can deactivate the caIibration, but this wouId prevent any benefit fróm it.
Thé only 'alternative' I can discover will be the Audyssey MultEQ Publisher app which provides a curve editor that supports including treble, but there are usually a few of troubles that I notice. The first is definitely that the app gets very bad reviews and I'd rather not invest $20 on something that doesn't function. The second is definitely that this approach still received't permit me to alter bass and treble while listening to music, so no great tuning it to what seems great for the recording. It would involve using the software and uploading modified calibrations, which appears like a pain.
What am I missing and can be there another wórkaround?
